London's urban wineries: East
Three urban wineries across east London in one Saturday, from lunch at Vagabond's bar in Canada Water to dinner inside Renegade's Walthamstow winery, with nothing to book but the table.
In east London the wine is made where it is poured. Vagabond's bar in Canada Water is built around its own tanks, Numbers works out of a former umbrella factory, and Renegade's winery sits on a Walthamstow industrial estate with a kitchen inside it. The day runs south to north, and Numbers decides the order, sitting in between Vagabond and Renegade, and shutting mid-afternoon. Every leg is under '45 minutes by Overground, bus and Tube.

Curator’s comment: Taste the wines at the bar, which sits inside a 100-tonne production space with steel tanks, a concrete egg and a solera. Aim to arrive by 1pm, to leave enough time for Numbers, with potential to have lunch here.

Curator’s comment: A former umbrella factory in east London, where the cellar door is also a bar until 4pm.

Curator’s comment: Dinner at Leo, the kitchen inside the winery, with the bar a few metres from the tanks and barrels. Every Renegade label carries the eyes of a different UK resident, from students to retirees. Dinner available from 6.30pm.
