Hope Valley Vineyard

Hope Valley Vineyard

Hope Valley Vineyard grows cool-climate grapes on steep slopes below Stanage Edge in the Peak District, sending the harvest to Staffordshire to become its CARRHEAD wines.

Hope Valley Vineyard sits below the escarpment of Stanage Edge in the Peak District, on steep south-west-facing slopes that catch the sun 900 feet above sea level, overlooking Hathersage. The family began preparing the ground in 2013 and planted just over one and a half acres the following May, choosing grape varieties bred for a cool climate: Madeleine Angevine, Seyval Blanc and Solaris for white and sparkling wine, and Rondo, the only red among them.
