London Cru

London Cru

London Cru is London's first urban winery, making wine in a former Victorian gin distillery from grapes grown at its own vineyard in West Sussex.

London Cru opened in 2013 as London's first urban winery, founded by Cliff Roberson after almost 60 years in the wine trade — he started importing bulk wine to supermarkets in 1972, before developing London Cru in 2012. The winery is down an alleyway in SW6, in a Victorian warehouse that was once a gin distillery, now fitted with concrete tanks, French oak barrels and modern eggs.
