Ark Harvest Party
16:00–23:00

A family vineyard on an old chicken farm in the Stour Valley in Suffolk, with a winery on site where the wine is made, bottled and packed in small batches.
Ark Wines is made at Mount Farm Vineyards, on an old chicken farm in the East Anglian Stour Valley. The grapes are picked by hand and taken straight to a winery on the same site, where every step from pressing and fermentation to bottling and packaging is done. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir take most of the vineyard, and the rest is planted with other white and red varieties. For one red, Acolon grapes are dried on straw before fermenting and then blended with Pinot Noir. The wines ferment in stainless steel and age in barrel for no set time, until tasting says they are ready. They are bottled unfiltered and unfined, which can leave a haze or sediment in the bottle.
Mount Farm can be visited without an appointment on its opening days, and a visit outside them may be arranged by email. The site does not describe a tasting at the winery or what is poured. Sunday lunches and workshops at the vineyard are booked separately.
Mount Farm is at the end of a narrow, single-track country lane shared with walkers, dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Drivers should be prepared to reverse to let others pass, and the vineyard asks visitors to share cars where they can. The winery's what3words address is ///everybody.chugging.purely.
