Charles Palmer

Charles Palmer Vineyards is a family-run, 40-acre vineyard above the Cinque Port of Winchelsea, East Sussex, planted in 2006.

The Palmer family has farmed on Wickham Manor's land since 1998, first with arable crops, sheep, cattle and pigs, before finding that its south-facing slope, a mile from the sea, suited vines instead. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay went in by hand in 2006.
