Dropmore Vineyard
Dropmore Vineyard is a small, family vineyard in Buckinghamshire, on land once part of the Dropmore House estate, open to pre-arranged visitors by appointment.
Dropmore Vineyard began with a 2005 holiday in New Zealand, where John and Feona Petersen followed the Marlborough wine trail and returned home to train at Plumpton College. They planted their first vines in 2008, on a gentle south-east-facing slope 65 metres up, behind their own 17th-century farmhouse in Buckinghamshire, and took their first harvest in 2010.
Visits are by appointment only, in small pre-arranged groups through the summer months. Dropmore is a private, residential-site vineyard and does not take casual visitors.
