Frome Valley Vineyard

Frome Valley Vineyard

Frome Valley Vineyard is a family-run Herefordshire estate growing still and traditional-method sparkling wine, with a cider orchard alongside the vines.

When the family that runs Frome Valley Vineyard today took over in 2005, they arrived, in their own words, as ‘total viticultural novices’. The vines were already some fifteen years in the ground, planted by predecessors in the clay loam soil that still shapes the wine, and a cider orchard grows alongside them, organic in practice though not formally registered as such. The vineyard grows several still varieties, including Bacchus and Pinot Noir, alongside one traditional-method sparkling rosé.
