Grove Estate Vineyard

Grove Estate Vineyard

Grove Estate is a small, family-run vineyard in Eccleshall, Staffordshire, whose owners learned winemaking from a neighbouring producer, Google and YouTube after taking it on in 2015.

Grove Estate began in 2010, when Lower Heamies Farm's original owners planted 1,000 vines of Rondo, Phoenix and Seyval Blanc on a south-facing acre near Eccleshall, advised by Halfpenny Green Vineyards. They ran it as hobbyists, selling to family and friends, until Liz and Rob Grove bought the farm in 2015 with no vineyard experience of their own. The couple renamed it Grove Estate the following year and, alongside daughter Holly, learned the work as they went — pruning, harvest and all — with help from Halfpenny Green, Google and YouTube.
