Jabajak Vineyard

Jabajak Vineyard

Jabajak, a former droving farm in Carmarthenshire, has grown vines since 2007 alongside its restaurant, the Smithy, and rooms named for the estate's own buildings.

Named Wales Trophy at the WineGB Awards 2025.

Jabajak occupies Banc Y Llain, a former droving farm where cattle walked from the Preseli mountains to markets in Carmarthen were once shod in the stone buildings that are now its restaurant, the Smithy; its private-dining room, the Cowshed, takes its name the same way. The vineyard itself was planted in spring 2007, nearly 2,000 vines of Seyval, Phoenix, Rondo, Rheichenstiener, Huxelreber and Pinot Noir going into the ground by the evening of 15 April. The vines took six years to give a usable crop, the first arriving in 2013.
