White Castle Vineyard

White Castle Vineyard

Near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, White Castle Vineyard is family-run, making Welsh wine from its own estate-grown grapes.

White Castle's fortified wine is named 1581, after the date carved into the oak trusses of Croft Barn, a Grade II* listed building at the foot of the vineyard that still has some of its original oak wattle infill panels. Every harvest has been awarded Protected Designation of Origin status, allowing the wines to be labelled Welsh Quality Wine.
