Wressle Vineyard

Wressle Vineyard

A family-run vineyard in North Lincolnshire, planted in 2020, making sparkling, white, red and rosé wines, with tasting evenings held beside the vines.

Wressle Vineyard is a family planting in North Lincolnshire, and the family grows, harvests and produces the wine itself. The first vines went in in 2020. Marie and Chris took the decision to plant, and Liz, the vineyard manager, looks after the vines through the frost alerts, the pruning and the harvest. The grapes are picked by hand, with family and friends from the local area helping. The family learned its winemaking in Tuscany and at Plumpton College. The estate says it feeds the vines with natural fertilisers and avoids chemicals and additives wherever possible.

Tastings take place at the vineyard's ticketed evenings in the Tasting Room: a glass of sparkling wine, a guided flight of three Wressle wines and a cheese board. A visit outside those evenings is arranged through the contact page. The site describes no walk-in tasting.
