Three or four tastings around Tenterden, with its unique microclimate and high density of vineyards. Feasible both by car and public transport.

This trip provides a route that combines one of the most familiar and pioneering English wine brands, Chapel Down, with smaller more intimate vineyards. The estates are close together - Woodchurch and Wayfarer are neighbours in the same village, and between them they took the Taste of Kent Awards' Kent Wine of the Year in 2023 and 2024, the first for a sparkling wine and the second for a Bacchus. Three of the four wineries make the Saturday. The two in Woodchurch work in either order. The route takes Woodchurch's morning tour first and lunch at Wayfarer after, but Wayfarer's 11am tasting can come first, with Woodchurch's wine flights and pizza to follow. Oast Wood provides an optional Sunday stop for those keen for more.

This is a Saturday trip for any time of year: all three stops open through the winter, and Woodchurch runs its tour all year. Oast Wood opens its tasting room at weekends from Easter to harvest, and in those months it adds an optional Sunday stop before the journey home.
