11.15am Tutored Wine Tasting
11:15–12:00

Oxney Organic Estate
Oxney is a Soil Association-certified organic single-estate vineyard in the East Sussex High Weald, with a walk-in wine tasting, its own shepherd's huts and a Jacobean house to stay in.
Has taken a medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in each of the last 3 editions.
Oxney is a single-estate organic vineyard in the High Weald, certified by the Soil Association, on sand and silt loam soil nurtured with compost and manure from cattle grazing the same organic farm. The winery itself runs on biomass heat from the estate's own coppiced woodland and electricity from its solar panels, with winery waste water treated through reed beds built on site.
Walk in any time during opening hours for a one-to-one introduction to four wines poured by a team member, no booking needed. In summer this happens on the terrace under a tipi roof; in winter it moves into the Old Winery. A cheese and charcuterie platter can be added.
Wine Flight
Rye is the nearest station. Book a taxi well in advance, ideally several weeks ahead, as local firms get very busy and same-day taxis are unlikely. The estate's other accommodation, the Oxney Barns, is across the River Rother, about a seven-mile, fifteen-minute drive from the vineyard itself.
Nearest station: Rye (Sussex) · 4.5 mi
