Bow-in-the-Cloud Vineyard

Bow-in-the-Cloud Vineyard

Bow in the Cloud is a small family vineyard at Noah's Ark, near Malmesbury, still growing some of its original 1992 vines on limestone soil like Champagne's.

Bow in the Cloud stands in the hamlet of Noah's Ark, named after the man who built the house there centuries ago. In 1982, readers of the Sunday Times columnist Godfrey Smith, a local, were set the challenge of renaming the house, and the same readers later helped choose names for the vineyard's wines too, continuing an unplanned biblical theme.

Getting there

The house with the large lamppost marks the turn, then it's past the next house and a tight right turn into an unmarked field to reach the vineyard. The postcode pairs with the what3words address ///attablant.claqueur.reployant for a more precise pin.
