Larkhill Vineyard
On the edge of Tetbury, Larkhill's single-estate vines went in during 2018, with a walk-in cellar door most Friday and Saturday afternoons through the season.
Larkhill is a family-run, single-estate vineyard on the edge of Tetbury, in the Cotswolds, run by owners Wendy and Simon. Planted in 2018 on a south-facing, free-draining Cotswold brash slope, its 5,200 vines are Seyval Blanc, Pinot Noir and Phoenix, varieties chosen to match the site's soil and microclimate after the family toured English vineyards to decide what to grow, settling on a mix of traditional bottle-fermented sparkling wine and carefully crafted still wine. The grapes are picked by hand.
The cellar door is walk-in on Friday and Saturday afternoons through the season, no booking needed for wine by the glass or a tasting flight. A separate guided Tour & Tasting through the vines can be booked online.
Cellar Door Wine Flight
The postcode covers a wide area, so the vineyard asks visitors to enter 'Larkhill Vineyard' into satnav rather than the postcode alone. Taxis can be hard to book on demand in the Cotswolds, so the vineyard suggests booking one ahead if you'll need one to leave.
