Chapel Down

Chapel Down

Kent's pioneering sparkling-wine estate and one of the most iconic English wine brands, Chapel Down has helped define English sparkling for three decades.

Winner — WineGB Supreme Champion; Decanter World Wine Awards Gold; a sparkling wine poured at numerous national celebrations.

Founded in 1977 and now one of the best-known names in English wine, Chapel Down sits just outside Tenterden on the edge of the Kent Weald, where free-draining greensand and a warm, sheltered aspect give the estate its distinctive character. What began as a pioneering experiment in cool-climate viticulture has grown into a benchmark producer, and much of the modern story of English sparkling wine has been written across these vineyards.
