Combe Head Meadow is a family smallholding in Mid Devon with a restored heritage vineyard, a farm shop selling its wine, and glamping among the vines.
When Nathan and Sarah Charker moved to Combe Head Meadow in July 2022, its vineyard had been left wild for several years. The Charkers understand it was first planted in the late 1980s, on a sheltered slope facing southwest, and the vineyard is classified as a heritage vineyard. Clearing and restoring the vines took three years. The first harvest came in the autumn of 2025, and it became a rosé frizzante.
Cellar door tastings
Vineyard tours and tastings are listed as coming soon, so walk-in tastings are not available. Wine is sold from the small shop on site when the owners are there, and anyone coming only to buy wine is asked to message ahead through the contact form.
