Greyfriars Vineyard

Greyfriars Vineyard

Greyfriars is a sparkling wine producer on the chalk slopes of Surrey's Hog's Back, first planted in 1989 and rebuilt from 2010 by Mike and Hilary Wagstaff.

Took 3 medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2025.

Greyfriars was first planted in 1989, one of the earliest sites in England to grow the classic Champagne varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Mike and Hilary Wagstaff took over in 2010, expanding the vineyard to its current 40 acres and building a winery with an underground chalk cave cellar to go with it.
