Hanley Vineyard

Hanley Vineyard

A small, family-run vineyard and winery on the edge of the Teme Valley in Worcestershire, making red, rosé and white wines from hand-harvested grapes.

Hanley Vineyard's first vines went where an owl kept flying. Steve and Maria Smith were choosing a spot for their first planting when they noticed an owl that would regularly swoop over one particular area, and it helped persuade them of the position. The owl still visits, and it appears in the winery's branding and on the wine labels.
