Lyde Arundel Vineyard
Lyde Arundel Vineyard
Lyde Arundel is a small Herefordshire vineyard on a family-run farm near Hereford, making a still white wine called Peacock Paddock.
Lyde Arundel's vines grow on a south-facing slope beside a man-made lake, on a Herefordshire farm that has been in the same family since 1983 and still grows wheat, peas and oilseed rape. Its wine, Peacock Paddock, is made from Seyval Blanc and Phoenix grapes and bottled at Three Choirs Vineyard nearby; a second wine, Skinny Dip, is named on the site but not otherwise described. The vineyard drew a visit from Countryfile's Adam Henson (Oct 2013), who remarked on the size of the bunches and called growing it 'a wonderful way to diversify the farm.'
