Mallard Point Vineyard

Mallard Point Vineyard

Mallard Point is a family-run vineyard and distillery in Rutland, founded in 2019 and named after the world's fastest steam locomotive.

Church Farm, bought by Andy and Fi in 2012, became Mallard Point in April 2019, when the first vines went in and work began on a distillery alongside the winery. The two launched together in 2022, with two vintages of wine and a range of gins. Bacchus, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir make up most of the 18,500 vines, alongside two PIWI varieties, Sauvignac and Cabernet Jura; the estate says its Cabernet Jura is among the first commercial plantings of the variety in the UK.
