Mudgley Farm Vineyard

Mudgley Farm Vineyard

Mowbarton Estate is a small family vineyard on the Isle of Wedmore in Somerset, making traditional method sparkling wine, with a barn and a shepherd's hut on site for self-catering stays.

Mowbarton Estate began modestly: an acre of 1,250 vines went into the ground in 2014, planted, as the owners put it at the time, 'just to see how we get on.' The vines grow on the south-facing slopes of the Isle of Wedmore, overlooking the Vale of Avalon — ground the estate says was once planted by monks from Glastonbury Abbey.
