Planted with Bacchus in 2021, Rowfant is a young West Sussex vineyard now in its first season welcoming visitors, with two rescue donkeys grazing beside the vines.
The site was prepared in 2020, and just over 4,000 Bacchus vines went into the ground the following April with help from the Vineworks team — 'a very long two days', by the vineyard's own account. The harvest has grown quickly since: 2.5 tonnes in 2024 and 3.3 tonnes in 2025. 2026 is Rowfant's first season welcoming visitors.
Cellar door tastings
The only visiting is a pre-booked Tour & Tasting, walking through the vines before a tasting of the wines; no walk-in access. The 2026 season has finished, with new dates to follow; existing vouchers remain valid.
