Saffron Grange Vineyard

Saffron Grange is a family-run sparkling wine vineyard near Saffron Walden, Essex, on a chalk slope where woolly mammoth remains have been found.

Woolly mammoth tusks have been found in the river that runs along the bottom of Saffron Grange's site, and the vineyard has taken the animal as its own emblem. Founder Paul Edwards returned to Essex after decades working abroad in the food and drink industry, and chose the vineyard's south-facing slope after specialist consultants analysed its soil.
