Sugarloaf Vineyard

Sugarloaf Vineyard

The Sugar Loaf Vineyards is a Welsh vineyard on the Sugar Loaf Mountain near Abergavenny, with wine tasting, a coffee shop and a holiday cottage on site.

The first vines at The Sugar Loaf Vineyards went into the ground in 1992, on the south-facing slopes of the mountain it takes its name from. Five acres now carry seven varieties and around 5,000 vines, making white, rosé, red and sparkling Welsh wine that has taken awards in regional and national competitions and quality status from the European Wine Standards Board.

Cellar door tastings

Tasting is a tray of tasters with full notes, ordered at a table in the coffee shop, terrace or conservatory — walk in, though booking is advisable when busy. A self-guided walk through the vines can be taken separately, any time during opening hours.
