Trevibban Mill

Trevibban Mill

Trevibban Mill is a family-run vineyard and winery near Padstow in Cornwall, set among orchards, a restored watermill and a private lake.

Engin and Liz Mumcuoglu bought six and a half acres of Cornish farmland in 2007, meaning to restore a ruined watermill beside its fishing lake. They ended up planting a vineyard instead, in 2008, on soil so thin it sits just 30 centimetres above solid slate, with a disused slate quarry still on site. The land is farmed organically, certified by the Soil Association, and native Southdown sheep graze between the vines and the orchard.
