Venn Valley

A North Devon vineyard between Landkey and Swimbridge, on a former farm park, with owner-led vineyard tours and a café and restaurant on site.

Alina and Tony spent more than two years searching from Cornwall to Kent for land with a south-facing slope less than 100m above sea level, and settled in North Devon. Alina had already taken a viticulture course at Plumpton College. The land had been a farm park, and the vines now grow where Highland cattle used to graze. The farm covers 50 acres, with woodland, hedgerows, a river and three ponds, and free-range chickens.

Cellar door tastings

The owners pour up to four wines at the end of a guided tour, booked through the site, in which they walk visitors through part of the vineyard on grass and talk through the winemaking. Tours start at the café. Walk-in tastings are not available.
