Whinyard Rocks

Whinyard Rocks

Whinyard Rocks is a family-run vineyard on a fourth-generation sheep farm in the Welsh borders, near New Radnor, Powys.

Whinyard Rocks sits on a fourth-generation Radnorshire sheep farm that James's family has worked since 1913. He and Susan left careers in the city in 2017 to plant the first half-acre by hand, and now grow 6,100 vines across nine grape varieties, chosen for early ripening at 236 metres above sea level, close to the limit of what viticulture in Britain can do.
