Bailey Hills Vineyard

Bailey Hills Vineyard

Bailey Hills is a family-run vineyard on the edge of Bishop's Stortford, with an open cellar door for wine, cheese and its own small-batch cider.

Eloise and Dylan Ford discovered Bailey Hills' plot of land in Bishop's Stortford, the town they grew up in, and planted their first vines there in 2018. They built a winery next to the vines and their own home, taking the wine from pressing through to bottling on site. The first releases came in September 2025: a Classic Cuvée from the 2021 and 2022 vintages, made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay by the traditional method, and a Sparkling Rosé from 2022, blended mostly from Pinot Meunier with two years on lees.

Getting there

As you approach Wickham Hall, continue straight onto the farm road, then turn right at the T-junction — the winery is on the left. It is a 5-minute drive from Bishop's Stortford, 15 minutes from Stansted Airport, and a 5-minute taxi ride from Bishop's Stortford station, itself 35 minutes from London Liverpool Street. Do not park on the verge outside the vineyard — it is a public bridleway.
