Balfour Winery

Balfour Winery

Balfour Winery makes still and sparkling English wine at Hush Heath Estate in Kent, a Tudor estate first planted with vines in 2002.

Hush Heath Estate is a Tudor estate in Kent, the Garden of England, and has been home to Balfour Winery since Leslie Balfour-Lynn's idea to plant its first five acres of vines in 2002, hoping to make a pink sparkling wine to rival the couple's favourite Champagne, Billecart Salmon Rosé. Balfour Brut Rosé, made from the 2004 harvest, became the first English wine to win a gold medal and the Trophy at the International Wine Challenge. It went on to be poured in British Airways First Class worldwide and served as the only English wine at the London 2012 Olympics.
