Four Daughters
Four Daughters
A Kent fruit farm and vineyard growing Albariño and Pinot Noir, open on set days for blossom walks, fruit picking and vineyard tours.
The four sisters behind Four Daughters, Lucy, Amy, Emma and Sophie, are the fourth generation on a farm that came to Kent on a doctor's advice. In 1943, in Leicester, their great-grandfather contracted tuberculosis caused by poor air quality, and his doctor prescribed fresh air. The family packed up and moved to Kent, where they bought 70 acres, 50 of them farmland.
Cellar door tastings
There is no walk-in tasting. Visits are limited to set days: blossom walks around mid-April, and the cherry and apricot picking weekends in July, when vineyard tours run through the day and a wine tasting is available for an extra fee. The farm does not allow visits at other times.
