Oatley Vineyard

Oatley Vineyard

Oatley is a second-generation Somerset vineyard whose sparkling wine is made from the unusual pink-skinned Kernling grape.

Oatley is a family vineyard on Oatley Lane, above Cannington in Somerset, planted by Iain and Jane from 1986. Their son Ned and his wife Paula have since taken over the vineyard.

Getting there

A mile west of Cannington, turn north onto Oatley Lane and keep going to the very end of a small, potholed, winding road. Minibus and campervan access is stated as yes, but caravans are 'not really' suited and coaches are 'not a chance'. On foot it is 1.6 miles from the Rose and Crown in Cannington, and the route can be muddy.
