Torview Wines

Torview is a small family-run vineyard and winery sheltered by Dartmoor, making mostly red wines from its own Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Rondo and Acolon grapes.

Torview is a small family vineyard and winery sheltered by Dartmoor, making mostly red wine and making it only from its own grapes. The first vines went in during 2007, after a two-year search for land and buildings, and a second field followed in 2010. Both fields slope gently south on slightly heavy clay that had been used for grazing for the previous 60 years. The estate credits the tors with moderating the wind and acting as a rain belt that keeps some of the rain off the vines.
