Kinsbrook
A vineyard in Thakeham, West Sussex, with a restaurant, café deli and farm shop in its farmhouse, and guided tours of the vines and winery.
Joe Beckett and Rebecca Dancer run Kinsbrook, a vineyard in Thakeham, West Sussex, at the corner of Coolham Road and West Chiltington Road. Its farmhouse holds a café deli and grocery on the ground floor and a restaurant upstairs, and a deck outside looks out over the vines, a space the vineyard shares with local wildlife. Just outside the farmhouse, the Pink Bar fires up its pizza ovens. A 5.7-mile walking route through Thakeham and West Chiltington starts and ends at Kinsbrook, past fields and cottages, with alpacas to look out for on the way.
Walk-in visitors can drink every Kinsbrook wine by the glass or bottle at the café deli, and the site describes no walk-in tasting flight. Guided tastings come with a tour of the vineyard and winery: a welcome glass, three more wines and a seasonal small plate. Private tours are arranged by email.
Car sat navs may not hold the address correctly, so the vineyard asks drivers to search for Kinsbrook Farmhouse or Kinsbrook Vineyard in Google Maps or Waze. It stands at the corner of Coolham Road and West Chiltington Road, at the what3words address widely.reacting.cubed. There is no taxi rank at Pulborough station, and a taxi from Billingshurst station takes 10 to 15 minutes. Kinsbrook recommends booking a taxi in advance from any nearby station.
