Plantation House Vineyards
Plantation House Vineyards
A family vineyard in Worcestershire growing Rondo, Regent and Seyval Blanc for a red and a sparkling rosé, with tastings of its wine and its own Tuscan olive oil by arrangement.
Plantation Vineyards grows three grape varieties on a family estate in the Worcestershire countryside. Rondo and Regent are hybrids grown for their disease resistance, and Seyval Blanc is noted for the same quality and as very good for sparkling wine. The vines were first planted in 2006 on a gentle south-west facing slope about 78m above sea level, and they are managed with organic fertilisers and sprays.
Cellar door tastings
Tastings of the wine and the estate's olive oil are arranged by phone or email, and can include short talks on growing, caring for and harvesting the crop. The site describes no walk-in tasting and no fixed tasting dates.
