Will Davenport

Will Davenport

Davenport is an organic vineyard and winery in Horsmonden, Kent, growing across five sites since 1991 and now selling and pouring from its own shop.

Will Davenport planted his first five acres in Horsmonden in 1991; the vineyard has since grown to 24 acres across five sites, on soils that range from sandy silt over sandstone to clay. In 2000 the whole operation, vineyard and winery both, converted to organic growing, earning Soil Association certification in 2003 — one of the longer-standing organic conversions among English producers.

Cellar door tastings

Open to walk-ins

The winery shop, at the new Horsmonden site, opened to the public in 2025 for the first time; wine can be tasted and bought there, with staff — winemaker Lisa is often behind the counter — on hand for advice.
